Jagruti Mahila Mandal Mumbai had organised Navratri function on 1st Oct 2022 saturday at Sita Sindhu Bhavan, Santacruz ( East ) to enjoy and seek blessings of Amba Maa, All the members who were present in the program were given diya’s and there after Amba Maa aarti was perfomed, Aarti was sung by Jigna Patel and all.
After the Aarti, President Mamta Randeria, Past President Prabhaben Patel, Vice President Sonal wankawala, Daminiben Dhabuhawala & committee members kept decorated garba Pots on their heads & rest of the members carried decorated Umbrellas, Caps, Dandias and gave a beautiful entry doing Garba.
Young members of Mahila Mandal like Pooja Lawana, Sonal Wankawala, Bhavna Randeria, Nisha Chokshi, & Sangita Kapadia gave performance.
There after garba competition started where all the Age groups took active part with great enthusiasm. All members came in colourful attire wearing chaniya cholis and bandhani saree. There after Mamta and her team carried Raandal Maa on their heads & played garba. Then one after the other members carried Raandal Maa.
President Mamta Randeria gave welcome speech and thanked all the members who attended the program in large numbers and making the garba program a grand success. She also announced the next program i.e. Picnic which will be in January 2023.
The whole Navratri program was ended with a delicious Farali dinner which were Farali Undhiyu, Rajgira Puri, Farali Pattice, Sabudana Khichadi and Shrikhand.
After the dinner, Annual Gifts were distributed to all members i.e. Glass oil & ghee Dispenser.
Prize Distribution:
1. Best Garba above 50 Yrs age:
Prabhaben Patel, Pravinaben Modi, Varshaben Lapsiwala, Kiranben Patel Bhanuben Randeri, Madhviben Modi, Chitraben Bhagat, Pratimaben Dumasia.
2. Best Costume and Garba Under 50 Yrs of age:
Pooja Lawana, Sonal Wankawala, Bhavna Randeria, Sangeeta Kapadia, Nisha Chokshi, Shikha Biscuitwala. Mamta Randeria and her team thanked them for their Generosity.
All the members enjoyed the Navratri Garba Mahotsav and promised to meet Soon.
